Economic Development
The Washington Township Trustees
play an active role in regional economic issues, since the issues can
impact their citizens. Washington Township strives to have thriving business
and commercial districts that merge discreetly into quality residential
areas. Most commercial property in Washington Township has been developed
and some is being redeveloped. Residential construction in the township
will continue to be a major part of the region’s economy. The township
has over 2,000 acres designated for residential growth and is constantly
looking for ways to enhance the commercial and residential areas so people
feel it is a quality place to work and live. The township
worked with the City of Centerville to complete a comprehensive plan that outlines the desired future of the area.
The township is home to many smaller businesses that serve our community,
regional area and nation. Please contact the Development Services Department
at (937) 433-0796 for economic development information.
